Performing alongside minimalist classic 'In C' by Terry Riley and Rzewski's relentless 'Coming Together' The And Ensemble premiered 'And And And' with the 20+ strong concert band of York St John University and then synced a live version of 'The Bins' to its video in a special arrangement for concert band under the direction of Dr Murphy McCaleb.

David Richmond, in Rzewski's work, narrated the ever intensifying repetition of a letter by Attica prison inmate Sam Melville who was killed in a prison riot shortly afterwards, throwing into sharp contrast his words that 'there are doubtless subtle surprises ahead'.

The three pieces from Wilsmore's TechnoMass reiterated the links between popular dance music and minimalism and segued from 'in C'  into 'And And And'.

This was a concert that moved from exuberance to meditation, from gentle caress to indifferent brutality. We were left breathless.
